The higher you go, the farther the fall...the greater the damage.               

You are a sturdy oak, and many lean upon your strength. It's a hard thing being king. And, there are a lot of forces out there aiming to see you fall. Whether it's your position, your money, your fame or your even spouse that they want, the temptations are numerous.

You may be familiar with King David's affair with Bathsheeba and how David ended up murdering her husband after she got pregnant. That is quite a cover up. Today, we see very similar stories where leaders fall from great heights. Restoration can be quite a challenge, if it comes at all. Entire communities can be affected, and the shrapnel goes far.

But, it doesn't have to.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour


We have a great enemy who does not want us to come into the fullness of God's purpose for our lives. Therefore, we are in a continual battle to remain pure and on mission. The world desires otherwise.

If you honestly examined your heart, thoughts and actions today, what would be exposed? 

Does this question make you uncomfortable? You are not alone. But, you can feel alone.     

The predator seeks to separate his prey because its easier to hunt and kill an isolated victim - especially in the dark. So, you get inundated with thoughts that you are all alone and if anyone were to find out, you would be destroyed. Many people live in the dark, and it puts them in chains. 

   
 


Power's Exposure

The Apostle John talked about the big three areas where kings are most likely to be influence by the world and fall from glory:

                                     
1 John 2:15-16                      

15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.         
                                 


 
 
  

 
 

                     

The three big areas of temptation. All leaders face these. You need to make certain that you stay pure in your heart, or you will be taken out. This requires transparency and humility. Those are your keys. If you do not have accountability in your life, you are in the bull's eye.
