Fire is always hungry

Hebrews 12:29 "for our God is a consuming fire." It's hard to imagine that hard times could come from a loving God. If we are His children, why all this heat? Be encouraged, He has a purpose. Whether this is the first time that you have experienced God's fire or the millionth time, you understand that fire is hot. Fire burns and has an unquenchable hunger. It is never satisfied. When God wants to bring a change, fire is often the vehicle that He uses. In Matthew 3:11, we see that Jesus will baptize us with the Holy Spirit and of Fire. There are a number of ways to read this, but one is the purifying fire that comes through circumstance.

Another one of the more important verses we see in this area is found in Revelation:

Revelation 3:18
"I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see."

Wow, how many of you walk in shame right now? How many of you have skeletons in the closet? How many need healing in your hearts? 

Do you hope that no one finds out?

Fire has a way of bringing healing so that you can walk with your head high and without shame. There is no shame in Christ.

It is possible to see clearly and operate in fullness. God's heart for you is wholeness. It just so happens that we typically won't make a change unless there is pressure exerted to us. So, we see fire.

Our experience has shown that the LORD has cycles to His season of fire. When you gain insight into what God is doing, it can then become much easier for you to navigate your lives, operate out of obedience and insure that you get all that you are supposed to in this season.

No one wants to walk the same desert twice.
