They are depending on you...

"these he gathered together with the workmen of similar trades, and said, "Men, you know that our prosperity depends upon this business."" Acts 19:25 

Most leaders are not in it for the money. They are in it to make a difference - to have influence. It's in your heart to do so. People really are depending on you. God is depending on you. And, you have the ability to affect people in great ways. Folks leading Enron and Toyota probably have not done much to glorify God. Chic-fil-a, on the other hand, does great stuff. "Then the LORD your God will prosper you abundantly in all the work of your hand, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your ground, for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers."


                  
Joshua 1:8"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success." 



At elevate29, we don't preach a prosperity gospel. The Christian walk is often very hard. We are promised trials. We experience hardship. And that is life.

And yet, we are supposed to prosper. We are supposed to be the head and not the tail. Money is just one way to prosper, of course. But, we are commanded to use money to make friends. The world loves money and all that it brings. And, often the world will not respect us without us having worldly success.

So, we can gain huge influence by prospering. We can also create jealousy among the unrighteous by all that we do with our wealth including giving and equipping others for their destinies. There is much good that we can do with money to further God's Kingdom. And, there are also many traps that await those not well rooted in the LORD for the effective handling of money. 

Jesus said that the love of money is the root of all evil. Well, we see a lot of evil in the world right now. To think that the love of money provides the fuel for all of that really brings to light just how serious this matter is.

around in lack because it makes us more "holy". Well, how many non-believers do you know that want that kind of god?

You should plan on being wildly successful. Your star should shine so brightly that all the world sees your good works and glorifies God. Some good works are quite expensive.
